Vascular pathologies are an essential topic of modern clinical medicine. Ranging from peripheral arterial / artery disease to endothelial dysfunction, vascular function is also a steadily growing part in acute medicine and emergency medicine. So far, our working group has been able to show that vascular function is associated with various pathologies of emergency medicine, and that it could potentially be used as a novel triage- and risk prediction marker in this setting. Collaborations with other departments and clinical disciplines, as well as the integration of students are important cornerstones of our daily routine.
