Coagulation and Platelet Function in Emergency Medicine

Our aim is to investigate the disease-specific coagulation profile and its prognostic value in diseases relevant to emergency medicine in which coagulation and/or platelet function are influenced by the disease itself or its therapy. The coagulation system is investigated on different levels by means of bedside diagnostics (e.g. thrombelastometry, impendance aggregometry, DOAC dipstick), plasma and gene analyses.

In addition, based on the study results, we want to offer emergency patients an optimized and individualized coagulation and platelet therapy in the future.
