Pulmonary Embolism

Acute pulmonary embolism is one of the most common cardiovascular diseases with high mortality.
Diagnostic and therapeutic strategies in acute pulmonary embolism are based on the presumed risk of mortality.
The main focus of the Pulmonary Embolism Research Group is the evaluation of prognostic parameters to better assess the disease course of each individual patient and to initiate risk-adapted therapeutic measures in time.
Another focus is the optimal therapeutic management of patients with pulmonary embolism, which is performed within the framework of clinical studies in close cooperation with other clinics.
