We are dealing with the planning, analysis and critical interpretation of clinical studies from a clinical epidemiological perspective in many areas with a focus on emergency medicine and intensive care medicine. There is close cooperation with working groups within and outside MedUniVienna in local and international projects. 

Systematic review and meta-analysis, especially in the field of intensive care and emergency medicine, is a core area of the working group. This includes meta-analyses of interventional studies and diagnostic studies. The working group is active in three review groups of the Cochrane Collaboration (Anaesthesia (CARG), Emergency and Critical Care (EC), and Cochrane Heart) in the preparation of Cochrane Reviews, as well as in editorial work. 

We are active in graduate and postgraduate teaching of the methods of evidence synthesis and clinical epidemiology, as well as organising method-oriented journal clubs
