Emergency and Critical Care (EC)

Cochrane Emergency and Critical Care is part of Cochrane, an international, not-for-profit, independent organisation whose mission is to make up-to-date and reliable information about the impact of health care available worldwide. Using the methods of evidence synthesis, we produce and publish systematic reviews on the effectiveness and safety of medical treatments in potentially life-threatening situations. This includes the care of critically ill people in intensive care units, hospital emergency departments and people treated by pre-hospital emergency services, such as resuscitation for cardiovascular arrest. Cochrane Emergency and Critical Care (EC) is based in Denmark and led by Harald Herkner as Co-ordinating Editor, Jasmin Arrich is a member of the Editorial Board. Several authors of relevant reviews are also from the team of our department.
